Valva sphaerica, post plus quam dimidium saeculum evolutionis, nunc late in usu principali valvae facta est. Munus principale valvae sphaericae est fluidum in fistula intercludere et coniungere; etiam ad fluidorum regulationem et gubernationem adhiberi potest. Valva sphaerica parvae resistentiae fluxus, bonae obsignationis, celeris commutationis, et magnae firmitatis proprietates habet.

Valva globosa praecipue constat ex corpore valvulae, operculo valvulae, caule valvulae, sphaera cum anulo obturante aliisque partibus, et ad gradum 90 pertinet. Valvam claudendo, manubrio vel instrumento impulsivo in extremo superiore caulis momento torquente certo applicando, valvulae globosae transmittendo, ut 90° rotetur. Sphaera per foramen et lineam mediam canalis corporis valvulae vel se intersecet vel verticaliter se immiscet, actionem plene aperiendi vel plene claudendi perficiens. Generaliter sunt valvulae globosae fluctuantes, valvulae globosae fixae, valvulae globosae multicanales, valvulae globosae V-formis, valvulae globosae involucris tectae, et cetera. Adhibi potest ad impulsionem manubrii, turbinis, electricam, pneumaticam, hydraulicam, nexuum gasis et liquidi, et electricam hydraulicam.
